King-O-Matic now carries the Trim Valves and Springs Kit for the Allison 1000, 2000, and 2400 series transmissions years 2002 and up. This Sonnax kit (37000-12K) addresses the issue of long shift duration which promotes premature clutch wear in heavy-duty applications. The kit includes A trim valve and spring, B trim valve and spring, and F trim spring. To use this kit, the valve body must be modified by using KOM Part No. T-37000-TL12 (Sonnax Part No. 37000-TL12) which includes reamers for the A and B trim valve bores.

To install the S89741PK, the use of KOM Part No. T-F-59947-TL12 (Sonnax Part No. F-59947-TL12) tool kit is required and includes a reamer, guide pin, and reamer jig. In mid-stream 2005, several running changes were made to the Chrysler 45RFE series transmission. One of the changes involves the 2nd/4th clutch housing, D72558, and piston. King-O-Matic now carries the 4th clutch bonded piston for Chrysler 45RFE transmissions, years 2005-up. In mid-stream 2005 several running changes were made to the 45RFE series transmission. The changes involve the 2nd/4th clutch housing and pistons. The previous pistons had removable seals, whereas the new design pistons are bonded rubber. The 4th clutch piston, D72961A, will not retrofit back due to the seal cut of the early piston/housing. Therefore, the 4th clutch piston and housing must be used as a set, 1st or 2nd design.

During the change to bonded piston, the return spring diameter was increased and will not work on the older aluminum piston. The D72967A currently contains the piston and spring.
